All of the carvings at Lawrence R. Pefferly Studio are done by hand, using chisels
and mallets. We do not use carving machines. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted item.
The carvings are then meticulously hand-painted with artist oils, and protected
with a hard epoxy finish. The pictures below show the stages from start
